Peoria staff putting final touches on sustainability plan update

At a recent Peoria City Council meeting, Water Services Director Cape Powers defined sustainability as providing for society today in a manner that doesn’t impede the ability of tomorrow’s society to provide for themselves.

Peoria has been planning for sustainability as far back as 2009 when the city established its first Sustainability Action Plan.

To plan for tomorrow’s residents, the city of Peoria is now putting the finishing touches on its sustainability plan update.
