Peoria school district examines school closures, consolidations amid financial, enrollment challenges

At least 2 schools in Glendale could be closed, among other changes

The Peoria Unified School District will discuss a draft proposal Jan. 8 that will include school closures, repurposing and boundary adjustments within the district.

The proposal will be discussed and the governing board may vote at the meeting to call for a future public hearing and community forum to receive community input.

Officials said no decisions will be made until the governing board receives input from the community.
