Peoria Police seek assistance in locating missing endangered teenager
Posted
Peoria Police seek the public’s help in locating Serena Cox, a 13-year-old female.
She is described as a Black female, 5’6”, 145 pounds, black hair with long braids with blue tips and brown eyes. Serena was last seen wearing a black shirt, navy plaid pajama pants and carrying a pink backpack.
She was last seen at about 8 p.m. Jan. 13, when she left her group home without permission in the area of Sonoran Mountain Ranch Road and Ashby Drive. She left on foot and according to staff she has a medical condition, which requires medication. Serena did not take her medication with her when she left. She has been entered as missing/endangered also due to her age, police say.
Officers have been actively looking for Serena but have not been able to locate her. It is unclear where she may have gone.
Serena does not have a cell phone with her. Anyone who sees her is encouraged to contact the Peoria Police at 623-773-8311.
