Peoria police officer injured after head-on collision

A Peoria police officer was injured after head-on automobile collision on 83rd Avenue.

A driver ran head-on into the officer's vehicle on the morning of Aug. 3, police said.

The driver is suspected of being impaired, sending the police officer to the hospital with minor injuries.
