Peoria Police are investigating a homicide after a domestic dispute.

Officers with the police department at about 6:30 p.m. July 16, responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located near 69th Avenue and Olive Avenue.

Preliminary investigation revealed that 53-year-old David Koepke contacted authorities and reported that he had shot his girlfriend, 68-year-old Yvette Appleby, following a verbal argument.
