Peoria Police investigate fatal shooting

Victim, suspect identified

Peoria Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead on May 21.

Officers with the Peoria Police Department around 9:30 a.m. responded to a residence near 9100 W. Beardsley Road following reports of a shooting involving an injured person.

Upon arrival, officers contacted multiple occupants at the scene. During the incident, the suspect left the residence armed with a firearm and experiencing an apparent crisis, police said.
