Peoria Police have arrested a man on charges of child abuse and assault.

Peoria Police have arrested Adolfo Salas on charges of child abuse and assault following an investigation into an incident involving a 5-year-old child at a Peoria autism treatment facility.

Surveillance video footage revealed Salas kicking the child in the face.

The Peoria Police Department received a report from a treatment facility regarding an incident involving a young child about 3 p.m. on June 2.
