Peoria on the hook for $1.6M in Maricopa County tax lawsuit

Peoria Unified must refund considerably more

Hundreds of thousands of residential Maricopa County properties had to be revalued and hundreds of entities must pay back property tax dollars as a result of a recent class-action lawsuit.

Peoria is one of those entities, but it turns out the city won’t be too heavily affected by the ruling. They will have to refund about $1.6 million in property tax refunds.

Peoria Unified will be foreced to refund an estimated $7.2 million in property tax refunds.
