Fire officials are treating two bicyclists found injured in Peoria, according to a department tweet.
The incident occurred before 10 a.m. near the intersection of 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road in north Peoria.
According to Peoria Fire-Medical Department PIO Tim Eiden, a passerby noticed the bicyclists injured and dialed 911.
Upon arrival officials found an adult male in his 60s with serious injuries. Crews transported him by ground in critical condition. Officials treated a second bicyclist, a man in his 70s, for minor injuries and transported him by ground in stable condition.
Peoria Police Department Officer Brandon Sheffert stated in an email that the two bicyclists ran into each other. No vehicles were involved.
