A reminder that the city of Peoria will offer a free recycling event on Saturday.
Bring electronics and appliances you no longer use and documents that need to be shredded to Peoria Recycles Day from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N. 83rd Ave.
Prepare documents for shredding:
Bring documents in a sturdy box. (The box will not be returned)
Remove paper clips, rubber bands, and staples.
Stay in your vehicle at the recycling site, staff will unload boxes.
Limit of three banker/file boxes per household.
Proof of Peoria residency is required.
The event is free courtesy of the city’s solid waste division.
