Jeff Isotalo-McGuire, a Peoria native studying marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is a member of the Warhawk football team that will compete in the NCAA Division III playoffs for the 19th time in school history.

The Warhawks earned at at-large bid to the 32-team tournament.

Isotalo-McGuire is a sophomore kicker who attended Pinnacle High School in Phoenix.

UW-Whitewater (9-1 overall) will host Bethel (Minnesota) in the first round this Saturday at 12 p.m. at Perkins Stadium in Whitewater.

The Warhawks finished the regular season with five wins against nationally-ranked opponents under first-year head coach Jace Rindahl.

UW-Whitewater is a six-time national champion (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014).
