The city of Peoria and Maricopa County have been in a protracted dispute over which entity is responsible for fire and emergency medical services at Lake Pleasant Regional Park.
The dispute has continued for more than two years, encompassing numerous correspondences between the two parties.
City officials claim Peoria has provided fire and medical services at the park pursuant to a now expired intergovernmental agreement that provided no reimbursement to the city for significant expenses associated with fire and emergency medical services.
