A 78-year-old man died Tuesday in Peoria after an SUV rolled down a driveway and pinned him under the vehicle, police said.
The collision occurred about 10:30 a.m. Feb. 24 near Bent Tree Drive and North 125th Avenue, and a preliminary investigation indicates the 2019 Toyota RAV4 arrived at a home and was parked in the driveway.
Both occupants got out of the vehicle, after which the passenger walked to the rear of the SUV to speak with a neighbor. The driver leaned back into the vehicle to turn the vehicle off, according to a Peoria Police Department release.
