Peoria leaders address questions about new school planned for Vistancia

American Leadership Academy to be built on 40 acres in commercial core

Residents in north Peoria have had questions about a new charter school and associated park planned for the 320-acre commercial core in Vistancia known as Five North.

A site plan has been approved by the city for a new location of American Leadership Academy to be built on 40 acres at El Mirage Road and Westward Skies Drive.

The school is expected to serve 2,400 students, with specific classroom facilities for K-6 students, and separate facilities for grades 7-12.
