Peoria joins other cities cracking down on e-bikes, e-scooters with new code

If you are a youth under 16 years old riding around Peoria on a motor-driven cycle, the police want you to know this is illegal and violations will be enforced.

This could also lead to a citation and your vehicle being impounded.

Police say a driver’s license with an endorsement, insurance, and registration is required for those under 16 to operate a motor-driven cycle.
