Peoria hosts successful Neighborhood Pride cleanup event

The city and many volunteers recently did a number on one of its neighborhoods, and now it shines.

As part of Peoria's annual Neighborhood Pride cleanup event, around 400 voluteers picked up paint brushes and tools to come together and revitalize a neighborhood near Olive and 75th avenues in the Acadia District, Oct. 28.

Improvemnts were applied to nearly 20 homes in the nighborhood, including the use of 315 gallons of paint and 200 tons of gavel.
