Peoria High School seeks new principal amid sex crime scandal

Alumnus Sammy Chagolla will serve as Peoria High School’s interim principal when students return to school this year amid controversy involving its former basketball coach.

Chagolla took the lead effective Monday, July 8, according to notifications sent to PHS staff, students and parents.

Chagolla brings experience from being an assistant principal at Marshall Ranch Elementary School, an administrator at Ira A. Murphy Elementary, as well as teaching at Sunrise Mountain and Peoria high schools.
