Peoria farmers market set to open for the season

Park West Market will run every Saturday through April

The weather is finally starting to break just in time for the return of the Park West Market in Peoria.

The West Valley farmers market makes its way back to Park West, at 9744 W. Northern Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 7.

The market will celebrate opening day with activities and events including food trucks, live music and other entertainment for the whole family including dinosaurs, axe throwing, face painting, a caricature artist, balloon animals, princesses, a photo booth and more.

The Park West Market features more than 140 local vendors and is pet-friendly. The market goes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through April.

Admission and parking are free. Park West Market now accepts EBT, making it the only West Valley market with this option.
