Peoria Diamond Club general manager retires

Posted

Hello friends of the Peoria Diamond Club,

We are entering the fall season with vigor as AZ Fall Ball is underway and the fans are anxious to see baseball alive and well at the Peoria Sports Complex.

I want to let you all know that after much consideration, I will be retiring.

It is a bittersweet feeling as I have loved my 15 years of involvement with the organization’s mission and getting to know all the wonderful volunteers that help us help the kids. It isn’t easy for me to think about being absent from the daily spring training, but I am confident that the board will find a replacement for me that will help make the PDC bigger and better than ever. I’d like to think I am leaving it in better shape than when I started, and the next person will do the same.

I cannot express enough about our volunteers, the PDC staff and the city of Peoria ops team that I have had the pleasure of working with. We are getting started in the hunt for an executive director to take my spot and I hope you will welcome them with the same open arms that I have had the privilege to get. I will miss connections, both business and personal, that this job has availed to me.

Anyway, there is much going on and I will be able to see many of you before I exit sometime in November or likely at year end. I’ll definitely see those of you coming to the many events in the next couple of months.

All the best to all of you,
Roz
