PHOENIX - Peoria was not able to lock into its game in the 4A boys basketball final against Deer Valley until the final five minutes.
But five minutes of control were all the Panthers needed to hold off their closest rival. Up 51-50 Peoria closed the game with a 14-7 run to win its first state title since 2012.
