Peoria council to consider purchase of Vidler Water Company for $104M

Amid recent reductions in the allotment of Colorado River Water to the lower basin states, Peoria City Council at their Sept. 15 meeting will consider the purchase of Vidler Water Company for $104 million.

The agreement and purchase includes water rights, land and infrastructure, that city officials say will enhance and diversify Peoria’s water portfolio.

This transaction acquires additional water rights through two contracts.
