Peoria council to consider increase in multifamily units to Vistancia commercial core

As many as 1,500 units could be added

At its public meeting Sept. 5, Peoria City Council will consider an increase in multifamily units to the Vistancia commercial core, as well as the removal of two potential golf courses from the community's master plan.

An approval would allow the developer to increase the overall maximum dwelling units in the core from 10,500 to 12,000.

The city's planning and zoning commission unanimously recommended the case, 5-0, Aug. 17.
