Peoria council to consider funds for variety of infrastructure improvements

The Peoria City Council, at its Oct. 10 public meeting, will consider approving funds for a variety of public improvement projects ranging from pavement updates to sidewalk maintenance.

About $3.5 million is planned for Nesbitt Contracting Company for pavement maintenance and repairs to Olive Avenue from Loop 101 to 99th Avenue, as well as repair services for 83rd Avenue from Thunderbird Road to Skunk Creek Bridge.

Additionally, the council will consider an intergovernmental agreement with Maricopa County for the construction and maintenance of sidewalks within Maricopa County right-of-way along the east side of 99th Avenue, in accordance with budget authority previously approved by council.
