Peoria City Council will consider adopting the tentative budget for fiscal year 2023, as well as the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2023-2032, 6 p.m., May 3, at Peoria City Council chambers, 8401 W. Monroe St.
The fiscal year 2023 proposed budget totals $783 million, which represents a 12.7% increase, or about a $40 million increase from last year’s budget. It consists of four major components, including planned operating expenditures, estimated capital improvements, annual debt obligations, and appropriated reserves.
The proposed CIP is a $1 billion plan to support various projects through fiscal year 2032.
