Peoria council to consider controversial multifamily project in northern area

Opposition has built in recent months to Cibola Vista resort’s proposal to bring a 302-unit multifamily complex on 17 acres to the area of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Pinnacle Vista Drive.

Surrounding residents say the project would decrease the value of homes already owned in the area and strain infrastructure with more traffic and new growth.

The applicant says the new homes would help to improve the imbalance of housing types in the area.
