Peoria Council to consider changes to zoning code for recreational marijuana

In its first meeting of the new year, Jan. 5, the Peoria City Council will discuss how land-use regulations could be affected by the legalization of recreational marijuana. 

The public discussion will be had in a study session, 4:30 p.m.

In November, voters approved Proposition 207, legalizing recreational marijuana in Arizona, and allowing municipalities to enact reasonable regulations for the new industry.
