Peoria council to consider Amkor development agreement

Document covers guidelines, timelines for project to be located in Vistancia

The city of Peoria is about to take a big step toward becoming an important stop on the Taiwan Semiconductor microchip supply chain in the northwest Valley.

Peoria City Council will consider a development agreement with Amkor Technology Arizona Inc., Feb. 20 that will outline specific guidelines and timelines for completing the project.

Amkor will package and test chips for Apple that nearby TSMC manufactures at its north Phoenix fab, assuring that a bulk of the process will happen close to the manufacturing point.
