Peoria council eyes medical marijuana for delivery

Under current ordinance, Peoria customers only receive deliveries from out-of-city dispensaries

Delivery of medical marijuana in Peoria has been prohibited for years, and the city has missed out on sales tax revenue because of it.

However, the city and applicant Pitchfork Partners have been working to amended its marijuana ordinance to allow for delivery of medical marijuana.

The Planning and Zoning Commission gave its blessing to the case and the city council was ready to consider it for final approval, but instead approved a continuance at a public meeting, June 6.
