Peoria Council approves contract for water station improvements
Posted
INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
The Peoria City Council approved a contract amendment for $334,193 with Brown and Caldwell for Jomax Booster Station Upgrades.
The funds will allow for design and construction of equipment and infrastructure upgrades to accommodate additional capacity from the Pyramid Peak Water Treatment Plant expansion.
The city of Peoria owns 11 million gallons per day of capacity in the PPWTP, and the expansion will increase the city’s ownership to 24 MGD at the end of 2021. In order to fully use the additional capacity, the city is working to upgrade existing facilities downstream of PPWTP, including the Jomax Booster Station.
Construction is anticipated to start this summer, with completion estimated in spring 2022.
