Peoria City Council gets ready for first regular meeting of 2024

On the agenda: election of vice mayor, mayor pro tem, retail incentive for The Trailhead

Peoria City Council will have its first regular meeting of the year, Jan. 16, and kick off business with a vote to elect the vice mayor and mayor pro tem.

Election for these seats are held annually on the first council meeting of the calendar year. These actions are taken by city council pursuant to the city charter.

The vice mayor serves in absence of the mayor and the mayor pro tem serves in absence of both the mayor and vice mayor.
