City Council will canvass Peoria’s 2024 primary election 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, pursuant to results provided by the Maricopa County Elections Department.
This meeting will be virtual for Council to canvass the votes from the July 30 primary election in the Mesquite District. If the council approves the canvass, the election results will be official.
The only Peoria race in this election was for a seat representing the Mesquite District, the northernmost part of the city. The candidates for the race were former Peoria Unified President Matthew Bullock and newcomers Tom Bottorf and Laura Page.
