Peoria city attorney receives 15% raise

Peoria City Council recently completed their appraisal of City Attorney Emily Jurmu, and approved amendments to her contract that provides for an increase in base salary and deferred compensation that, city staff says, will more closely align her with peer counterparts in the Valley.

The city now agrees to pay her an annual base salary of $259,250. She was previously making $225,000, for a 15% raise.

The city agrees to pay her 7% of base salary per year in deferred compensation, to be paid to the city's mandatory 401(a) plan, according to the contract.
