Peoria, Cave Creek exploring possible water deal

The city of Peoria wants to work with the town of Cave Creek to develop new water supplies.

The city of Peoria has been taking a number of measures to prepare for water shortages on the Colorado River and is looking at an option with the town of Cave Creek to develop new supplies.

Officials say a proposed intergovernmental agreement between the two municipalities will help Cave Creek bridge a gap in supplies while it works to bring new supplies online.

Peoria City Council will consider approving the agreement at their June 16 public meeting.
