Peoria buys parcel for Pioneer Park

About 1 acre will be added providing 'better continuity of use’

It appears Pioneer Park is about to get a little bit bigger.

Peoria City Council this week approved the purchase of a 1.1-acre property at 8795 N. 83rd Ave., located between Olive and Northern avenues, and bordering a western portion of Pioneer Park.

It is a lone parcel that is bordered only by the park. On it sits an HVAC service and supply business as well as a pest control business.
