Peoria bringing back annual gingerbread house competition

The city of Peoria is sponsoring a gingerbread house competition.

Residents can drop off their creations from Thursday, Nov. 30 through Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St.

Judging takes place Thursday, Dec. 7.

The winning gingerbread houses will be on display at the Old Town Holiday Festival on Saturday, Dec. 9.

The grand prize for the Best Overall Large House is $100 and $50 for the Best Overall Mini House.
