Big’s American Bar & Grill in Peoria is planning a special event to mark its one-year anniversary.
The West Valley restaurant, 16550 N. 83rd Ave. in the P83 shopping center, is inviting guests to celebrate on Saturday, Sept. 23.
“We’ve received such a warm welcome from the West Valley community and we’re thrilled to be a part of it,” Taylor Lowe, who co-owns the restaurant with Terry Schwichtenberg, the original founder of Big’s Fullerton in California, as well as Ben Wilson and Martin Valencia, shared in a press release.
Look for entertainment from a video DJ, and all night long guests will receive a free souvenir glass with the purchase of a specialty drink.
Big’s American is a spin-off of Big’s Fullerton, which was founded in 2001 by Schwichtenberg, with the help of his brother Brett and Brett’s wife Cristi. Terry and Brett grew up in the Sunnyslope area and when Terry moved to Southern California where he purchased a small bar, Brett and Cristi were instrumental in helping him revamp it to become Big’s Fullerton.
With family and friends living in Phoenix, Schwichtenberg decided to bring the Big’s brand to the Valley. It opened in September 2022.
Restaurant hours are 10:45 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
