Penzone discusses jail issues after recent inmate death

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office held a news conference on Tuesday afternoon to speak on issues they are continuing to see in county jails.

The press conference came after the death of Samuel Fagan, a 20-year-old who died at a Phoenix Hospital on April 13 while in Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office custody.

Fagan was arrested in Scottsdale for drug possession. He was taken to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Jail on Fourth Avenue.
