Pedestrian killed in collision in central Phoenix

An unidentified man was killed late Wednesday in a car-pedestrian accident in central Phoenix, Phoenix Police said Thursday in a release.

Officers responded about 11:26 p.m. May 27 to the area of 6700 North 27th Avenue regarding a collision involving a pedestrian, according to the release.

When officers arrived, they found a 59-year-old man who was unresponsive. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead.
