Pedestrian dies at scene of Buckeye Road collision

A 50-year-old man died at the scene this week after he was hit by a car while crossing West Buckeye Road.

Cesar Martinez-Delgadillo was attempting to cross midblock on Buckeye Road just west of 35th Avenue, Phoenix police said. The crash occurred shortly after midnight July 8.

Phoenix Fire Department personnel attempted to save his life, but he was not able to overcome his injuries.

A 50-year-old man died at the scene this week after he was hit by a car while crossing West Buckeye Road.

Cesar Martinez-Delgadillo was attempting to cross midblock on Buckeye Road just west of 35th Avenue, Phoenix police said. The crash occurred shortly after midnight July 8.

Phoenix Fire Department personnel attempted to save his life, but he was not able to overcome his injuries.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication, police said.
