In recognition of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, U.S. and state flags will be displayed at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, Dec. 7.
On the 83rd anniversary of that historic day, many will gather to honor and remember the lives of 2,403 service members and civilians killed in the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor. Individuals, businesses and other organizations throughout the Valley will hold Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day tributes.
Honoring America’s Veterans will host a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day event at 10:55 a.m. Dec. 7 at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, 1700 W. Washington St. in Phoenix, with Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services Director John Scott as the guest speaker.
