Pavement work closes US 60 section in Tempe

Westbound US 60 will be closed between Loop 101 and Interstate 10 in Tempe from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

The pavement improvement project along the Superstition Freeway also will close ramps Aug. 4-7, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Both Loop 101 ramps to westbound US 60 will closed along with westbound US 60 on-ramps at Alma School and Dobson roads.

ADOT officials suggest driver consider using westbound as freeway routes to travel beyond the closure.

Local detour routes include westbound Baseline Road and Southern Avenue.
