Paul R. Thies

Paul R. Thies of Sun City West, AZ passed away peacefully on April 17, 2017 and was welcomed by his savior, Jesus Christ. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old.He is survived by his wife, Verlee (Weber) of 49 years, his daughters Toni (Mike) Ballweber, Mari (Leon) Litz and four beautiful grandchildren, Ben (24), Brady (20), Olivia (7), and Madeline (1). He is also survived by his brother David (Marlys) Thies of Edina, MN.Paul loved the game of golf and never missed an opportunity to play or watch the game he loved so much. He enjoyed discussing with his friends and family the meaning of life, politics, and religion. He valued his time in Fargo, ND spent with his dear and lifelong friends, the "Rat Pack", and his friends in Sun City West who became a second family to Paul upon his retirement in 1998.He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Walter Thies and Ione (Bertch) Thies as well as his father-in law, Gordon Weber, and mother-in-law, Bernadette Weber.Arrangements have been made through the Camino del Sol Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 22nd at Prince of Peace Church, Sun City West, AZ.
