Patricia Ann Paustian

SUN CITY - Patricia Ann Paustian, age 78, of Sun City, died peacefully on Jan. 11, 2012, surrounded by her husband, Bill, daughter Kay and daughter-in-law Debi. At her request, no service will be held. Pat was the beloved wife of Bill Paustian for 58 wonderful years, and a loving and cherished mother to Steve Paustian, John Paustian, Kim Shaffer, Kay Limborg, and Bill Paustian. Her son, Steve Paustian, preceded her in death. Born in Hastings, Neb., to the late Arvene and Theresa Brannagan, Pat was the oldest of four children. Pat is survived by her three loving brothers, Wayne, Darryl, and Larry Brannagan. Her grandchildren, April Paustian, Tiffany Paustian, Shelby Paustian, Stephen Slater, Jared Slater, Steven Shaffer, Brian Limborg, Jessica Limborg, Thomas Limborg, Megan Paustian and Julia Paustian were blessed to have known her and will have a special place in their heart for her forever. She fell in love with Bill at first sight at the Glovera Ballroom in Grand Island, Neb. It was the only quick decision she ever made in her life but it was the best one that lasted a lifetime. Bill and Pat loved travelling, seeing new places and meeting new people. They lived in Omaha, Neb., Houston, Texas, Marietta, Ga., Stillwater, Minn., Naperville, Ill., and Sun City. After retirement they travelled extensively across the United States in their motor home for several years before finally settling in Sun City, Ariz. Her family often joked that she would get lost backing out of her driveway and she often did…but she always did know how to find her way to what was really important in life - the unconditional love and acceptance Pat had for her family and friends.
