Sossaman Road will be closed to traffic just south of Germann Road to Rittenhouse Road beginning Monday, March 13 through Friday, March 24. Construction will run from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. to install a natural gas pipeline.

Southwest Gas issued a construction alert saying that it has contracted with Underground Construction Company to install the pipeline and infrastructure across Sossaman Road just south of the Germann Road intersection in the Union Pacific Railroad right of way.

Germann Road traffic will have access to northbound Sossaman Road during the closure but will not be permitted to turn left (southbound) onto Sossaman Road. This work is scheduled to coincide with the schools’ spring break to minimize the impact on school traffic, Southwest Gas stated.

During off-work hours, the area will be covered with steel plates to restore the roadway to normal travel.

Southwest Gas stated that customers should not experience a disruption in service unless notified.
