Tempe City Council recently met with the city’s Development Review Commission to discuss the vision for development in Downtown Tempe, delving into how the city anticipates it will manage parking and traffic going forward.
Aside from traffic updates, city staff also discussed the development of downtown’s density, design guidelines, open spaces and streetscape design and amenities at the council and commission’s joint meeting on Sept. 19.
Ryan Levesque, Tempe’s deputy director of community development, spoke of the parking situation, while Engineering and Transportation Director Shelly Seyler led the traffic discussion to highlight different options, tools and analysis the city has to manage its traffic.
