Parents speak out against closing SUSD’s Pima and Echo Canyon schools

Pima Elementary or Echo Canyon K-8 schools are successful, serve their students well and should not be closed down.

That was the message sent to the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board members by a group of about 100 parents and students during a public hearing on closing the two schools.

The meeting was only to give members of the community the opportunity to express their thoughts and the board members did not respond other than to thank people for coming out and expressing their views.
