Paradise Valley to vote on marijuana dispensary ban

The Town of Paradise Valley will host a public hearing, followed by a vote, to outlaw dispensaries selling recreational marijuana within municipal limits.

The Paradise Valley Town Council will host the public hearing listening to resident testimony prior to voting to adopt an ordinance, with an emergency declaration, during a 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 meeting.

The council is being asked to approve the ordinance, which contains an emergency clause making it effective immediately. The emergency clause requires a vote of three-fourths of the members of council.
