Paradise Valley takes close look at funds going to Super Bowl needs

The Super Bowl Committee has reportedly asked the Town of Paradise Valley for a payment exceeding $300,000 — funds some Town Council members would like to better vet before giving away.

The Super Bowl funding discussion came about during an April 22 Town Council meeting to discuss spending in the upcoming fiscal year 2021-22 set to begin July 1, and end June 30, 2022.

As it relates to the budget, the Town Council is being asked to consider if, and how much, money to give to the Super Bowl Committee. Independent archives show Scottsdale and Glendale have both given money to the committee for marketing and promotions.
