Paradise Valley, Scottsdale resorts experience sudden March rush

Scottsdale-area tourism occupancy hits 75%

In what appears to be an unexpected rush of visitors, the resorts in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale were full during March, with one Camelback Mountain resort reporting record-breaking revenues.

Experience Scottsdale reports March 21-27, the Scottsdale area’s tourism industry experienced 75% occupancy, up from 73.8% March 14-20.

The week before that, March 7-13, the occupancy was less than 60%. In mid February, the occupancy was at 48.6%, while January’s occupancy rate was less than 35%.
