Paradise Valley Police broke up a party that got out of control in the 8800 block of N. Avenida del Sol and an underage person was transported to a local hospital for possible alcohol poisoning Nov. 7, according to a police spokeswoman.
Officers responded to a report of a large gathering at a residence in the 8800 block of North Avienda Del Sol shortly after 9 p.m., Paradise Valley Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kelly Ingram said in an email to the Daily Independent.
They found more than 100 juveniles in attendance for what was originally intended to be a private supervised birthday party with on-site contracted security, Ingram said.
According to security, information about the event was shared beyond the invited group, resulting in a significant number of uninvited juveniles arriving and attempting to access the property by various means, which security and the homeowners could not control, Ingram said.
Officers worked with the homeowners and security staff to safely disperse the crowd and remained until all juveniles safely left. One juvenile was transported to a hospital as a precaution related to possible alcohol consumption and parents were notified, Ingram said.
